I've been a big fan of Brad Goreski since his time on The Rachael Zoe Project, and his new show, It's A Brad, Brad World, was one of my favorite new shows of the season. I find Brad to be charming, genuine, and absolutely hilarious, and I suspected that his new memoir, Born To Be Brad, would be as interesting and engaging as he is. I was right! I finished the book in one day, and my only regret is that I purchased it on my Kindle, instead of picking up the actual book, as there were several sections (featuring tips on fashion, travel, etc) that I felt would have been better appreciated on paper. On the Kindle, they were jumbled amongst the actual text, and I suspect that I also missed out on the visual impact of some of the photos, as my Kindle isn't in color.Other than that, I was thrilled with the purchase...despite being a "reality star," Brad hasn't shared much of his personal life or his background with audiences, with the exception of a few glimpses on his show this season. As such, it was truly interesting to see how a troubled, overweight kid with a drug problem transformed into a witty, polished, promising young stylist, regularly dressing A-list actresses for red carpet events.From his childhood as a young boy in love with sparkles, glamour, and Marilyn Monroe, to his experiences as a young assistant at Vogue and subsequent decision to venture into reality television, I loved taking this journey with Brad. If you're a fan of the show, I highly recommend picking up a copy of this book. It's far from what you'd expect from a typical "reality star," and there's style, substance, and depth in this excellent book. Many people have scoffed at the idea that a 33-year-old has written a memoir, but there's plenty here worth reading about.

As an aspiring fashion stylist just starting out, I loved brads book. His book gave me so much inspiration and knowledge all in one book. He told his stories as only brad could and I feel like I know him more after reading his book. It was more than a fashion book, he gave personal stories and these stories were a step by step of how he got to where is his, his thought process and what he went through to get there, it wasn't just wear this shirt with these shorts in the summer, it was his struggles with himself and never feeling good enough, and not knowing which way to go (I feel him 100%) and fashion is full of these types of people, fashion understands them and embraces them. He also gives tips and helpful info like certain books to read and movies to watch for reference. This was one of the best fashion books as far as inspiring me to keep moving forward and pursuing my dream I have read thus far. I wish it was longer, I want to hear more about the glamourous times working with Rachel Zoe.

I enjoyed Brad's book. It was interesting and quite informative. There are also suggestions as far necessities for one's closet offered by Brad.

Love Brad, love his perspective and his humor. He is an inspiration and he may not even realize it which is why he's so easy to like. Brad is easy to relate to - he's living amongst celebrity but you don't get the impression that he's been affected. It's more like he's in awe that he's there. His humility is so refreshing! He's smart, witty, and obviously very good at what he does. You can actually hear his voice reading his story to you. Very cleverly written, too. A very fun read. This is such a good book - highly recommend.
