"Making a Splash" instantly pulled me in and held on to me until I finished the book. Seeped in accessible biology, it's a compelling page-turner about a middle-schooler who struggles through healing his broken arm with the help of his friends. In a parallel story, a Pacific chorus frog in a nearby wetland struggles with a related issue. As the two stories weave together, readers cannot help learning something new about amphibians and how to protect their habitat. As a nature lover my entire life, I loved how this book tugged on my heartfelt human connection to the animal world while retaining a deep biological foundation.

My children and I have plowed our way through this series and are just in love! It's rare to find books that support nature with such information for this age level. Once you get past the board book stage it seems nature fizzles out. I love that we now have a great chapter book option for our children. The characters in these books are real and such fun to follow. These will now be our go to books for gift giving!!

I loved this book, i'm 9 and this book was fun and entertaining the characters were fun and the book explained problems that endanger nature there is two sides of the story in every book in the series a animal side and a human side they both face similar challenges
