Okay so I have decided to go about my review a littler differently than I usually do. I am going to allow my child to give me their feedback and base the majority of my review on that since lets face it this book is intended to be reviewed by the actual reader not by a 30 something mother of 2. lol! So with that said I read this book to my 6 year old son and he seemed to just gobble it up. His usual wont sit still for a story self was literally glued to his seat and listening intently (which if I were reviewing as his mom would be a HUGE plus) he had many MANY follow up questions for each question and their subsequent answers from the book (which if i were reviewing as his mom would kind of annoy me since I then in turn had to spend several minutes answering the questions with content not available in the book) He remained very curious and engaged from start to finish of the book (almost an hour and a half due to me having to have dialogue with him and answer all of his other questions) I asked him at the end of the book what his thoughts of the book were and to quote him he said " I loved it! can we read it again!" so obviously he loved the book and as such I would say it was a hit for the intended reader. Now here is where I will give my mom feedback. I found that the books intended audience is perfect only as long as an adult is available to answer the slew of follow up questions from the book. That is not necessarily a negative. I think this book offers an opportunity for the mother/Child to actively engage in dialogue and ends in relationship building. based on that fact I give a solid 4 stars and would purchase this book as well as the others by this same author, I would just do so with the knowledge that its an active Q & A style book, and gets their brains working so for sure not a bed time story type book. I did receive this book for free in exchange for my honest feedback. My opinions are never swayed based on promotional pricing as an online shopper personally I review heavily on reviews when making my purchases.I hope my reviews are helpful for you in your shopping experience. Well, let's start with the positive: this is the best of the three books in this series that we have read! Yay!Substantial points off for choosing the word "fart", which is crass, and not a term we use in this house, meaning that while I am willing to review the rest of the book for others' edification, MY children will not be reading it.Each page spread of the book poses a question, such as, "Why Do I Shiver," "Why Does My Nose Run," "Why Do I Have a Belly Button," or "Why does my body jerk before I fall asleep". There is a photo or illustration of the bodily feature or function in question, then a small text blurb of explanation.Unfortunately, the level of information given, and the reading level at which it is presented, seems wildly inconsistent, making it tough to know what age group might be best served by this book.To have on your phone and kill time in the waiting room at the doctor's office, this is a cute little product, and, clearly, the price for the Kindle version is right. I can't see spending the money for a print version (or the Kindle version, if the price increases).I am obligated to add the disclaimer that "I received this product free in exchange for agreeing to provide a review" which is pretty silly, given that it is already free for everyone. Obviously, it does not compel me to write a falsely positive review.

This was a really interesting book for our family, and especially for me. We read this book together, with my 10 year old doing the reading (which impresses me every time). I don't remember learning all the fact bits that were included in this book in my childhood. The illustrations were interesting, though in this book, the facts were more impacting. The book format really highlights the images and gives ample time for talking about the pictures. One spread has an image with a couple of sentences, then the next is simply an image. This repeats throughout the book and gives a great format for reading together.This book gives enough information to build a foundation, without being too in-depth or overwhelming. For us, it was random, for others, it would work well. I also think this book would work well for a classroom, because there is a lot of opportunity for talking about the pictures, or even completing a written or drawing assignment. Personally, as a homeschooler, I love books like this one that give valuable information in a quick and easy to digest format.Overall: Neat information, as quick or slow as you make it. We enjoyed it, and I think that most young children would be interested in reading this with their grown-up.The Kindle version of this book was provided to me for free, with the expectation that I review it honestly.

Hmmm...I'm not so sure about this book. I mean heck, you WANT to like a book that you can review for free right?The first thing that struck me is the 100% lack of diversity in a book that probably showed images of 20 different children. What's interesting is that the front cover shows SLIGHT diversity in the form of cartoon children. Ironically, no diversity in human variety. The information contained in the book itself confused me. At times the information was quite elementary and definitely catered to a child's expanding mind. On the other hand some of the answers were extremely scientific and beyond most children's comprehension. Basically, the answers that were given in this book would definitely lead to more questions. Like I said, I really wanted to like this book but I wound up deleting it from my Kindle within a minute of finishing the book, because although its only a mere 27 pages, it wasn't worth taking up space for.One star for effort and another for the item being free....for now.I received this item for free for my unbiased opinion.
